His Name is Anger

My Darkness Has Many Names

You’ve changed a lot
Old Friend.
I remember how you taught
me how to break
and hearts,
and pieces of myself.

Do you remember when
you taught me about
expectation or then
was that me teaching you?
Perhaps we were both
the student
Disappointment was
the teacher?

You’re easier to talk to
than your other brother
Rage, it’s true.
He has not ears for words
only tears unheard,
falling on a page,
speaking not a word.

What about that time
that I was mad at you?
Your smile was full of lime
and your eyes
acidic too.

You reminded me of your Sister,
Forgiveness she was called,
I did sincerely miss her
but soon became enthralled.

Here we are, my Anger,
older and wiser too.
You’ve been with me through it all —
no stranger.

I’ve learned so much because of you.

I love to rhyme, often sensually. I have to write, otherwise insanity. I leave my heart on paper. Feel free to feel my feels. I comment lovingly and completely.
