Jessica, this might not help quell the madness or solve the mystery, but I often highlight the words that specifically speak to me. Sometimes that is one word. Often times it is that one word that I choose to capture so that the article as a whole fits better into my memory matrix (because I like all the words and want to keep them near me). I don't highlight misspellings--though I'm an editor--nor do I highlight words that I need or want to look up. I just highlight the words (or in this case, word) that moves me. I'm probably a unique case but to answer another of your questions, I do read every word, especially those of recovering type-As.



I love to rhyme, often sensually. I have to write, otherwise insanity. I leave my heart on paper. Feel free to feel my feels. I comment lovingly and completely.
